Have you ever travelled back in time? Bhaktapur, Nepal is a time-capsule. It is devoid of any visible modern structures. Most houses and a few temples, if not stone had brick red finishing to its exterior. Along with these structures the red-brick lined streets enhanced the warm aura of the city. As I spent a day in Bhaktapur Nepal, which is roughly 4 square miles in area, I came across the four squares; City centre, Durbar square, Dattatreya square and Pottery square. Each had its unique way of artistic expression by several mediums like stone, wood, metal and terracotta. No wonder the city is the cultural capital of Nepal. These are some of the intrinsic features of this city which gives it a flavour of its own. Here every step is full of faith and devotion -thus qualifying the city's name; Bhaktapur, city of devotees.
